Most digital 3D models of the human brain, some sold for $3,000+, are anatomically inaccurate (esp. the cerebral cortex). Most common mistakes made when depicting the brain: 1) left and right patterns of gyri and sulci are rendered symmetrical. I know this saves time, but is a big "No no" when striving at realism. 2) gyri are often rendered as noodle-, or intestine-looking with disregard of consistent folding patterns, which is too much oversimplification of a rather more nuanced morphology. In reality, most gyri show intricate branching and fusions.
So, I decided to give it a go. Here is my WIP model of the human brain.
